Volunteers are invited to help create a new community orchard this Autumn, as part of our ongoing regeneration work in Tawd Valley Park, Skelmersdale.

A range of trees will be planted – including heritage and local varieties – and planting will be taking place to celebrate National Tree Week

The following dates have been set:

• Orchard hedge planting – Fri 30th November
• Planting Fruit Trees – Sat 1st December
• Planting remainder of Fruit Trees – Fri 7th December

Activity starts at 10am and everyone is welcome to join in.  Just turn up – meet at the bottom of Manfield, Skelmersdale.  Please wear suitable clothes for the weather conditions and sturdy footwear.
