The Friends of the Tawd Group has been set up to encourage community involvement in the Tawd Valley Project which aims to develop the Park into a popular amenity for both local people and those in the wider West Lancashire area.
The project promises to be an exciting one promoting community health and well-being in addition to people being able to enjoy the beauty and peace of The Park.
A committee and officers have been elected to represent the wider Friends Membership (see constitution, right) and is currently in process of opening bank account. The next Committee meeting is to be scheduled in the New Year.
In the meantime there is opportunity for ‘Friends Members’ to get involved in the Team Tawd Eco Days every Friday 10 – 3 p.m. and first Saturday in each month.
Project plans are already being progressed and the Friends Group would welcome more volunteers to become involved with the project and in arranging ‘activity’ days for all members of the local community.
If you are interested in joining the Friends of the Tawd, please contact Paula Campbell on 01695-585144 or complete the membership form and return to Paula at:
